If you want to fish in Costa Rica, there are many charter boats available. Nevertheless, if you don't want to compromise for those few precious days of your vacation, choose the "PERFECT HOOKER" for a perfect fishing experience. She is a twin 300 hp Cummins turbo diesel. She cruises at 24 kts. with a top speed of close to 30 kts. Equipped with Rupp outriggers, Cannon downriggers, 50 gal. live bait tank, 2 x 4 tuna tubes powered by twin 1½ swimming pool pumps, an electric chum grinder, and 2 each VHF radios, GPS and fish finders. She is a real professional. For her guests comfort, she has a 6kw Northern Lights generator, air conditioning, head & and shower unit with hot + cold water and a 600 gal/day water maker.

When talking about fishing tackle, "PERFECT HOOKER" has it all! Rods are custom built 2-speed reels for 30 and 50 lb. line and Fin-Nor 9/0's for 80 lb. line; all fly reels are Billy Pate's. We do have three identical sets of rod and reel for each line class 2 to 8 lb. and 5 identical sets each for 12 to 80 lb. class. We use tournament grade Ande Line, which we check and change whenever it doesn't test as new (we do have an electronic line testing machine).

Terminal tackle is premium quality and we have about 300 lures to chose from. Also, "PERFECT HOOKER" carries 13 gaffs, including 5 flying gaffs with up to 16" hooks, tail ropes, West Weigh electronic scales and a 1,500 lb. 'block and tackle.' We also carry (and believe this to be very important), tag sticks and tags from "The Billfish Foundation," so that we may tag billfish whenever possible. We do release all billfish, unless they are potential world record or qualifiers for IGFA's 20-to-1 club. We are life members of the IGFA and "The Billfish Foundation" and will pay a one year membership for "TBF" for all clients who are not already members, asking you to support this very important organization the best you may to help conserve the world's billfish and to ensure the following generations can also enjoy THE SECOND-BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!

"PERFECT HOOKER'S" home port is Golfito, but she will move north with the migrating fish later in the season.
