What to Bring
Once you arrive at Dolphin Quest you will be isolated from town, so come prepared. The
more equipped you are the more comfortable you will be. Although a boat goes to town
regularly for supplies, there is little time for personal errands. Phone calls, mailing
and banking should be taken care of before leaving Golfito. Trips to town can be
coordinated during your stay for an additional charge.
When your planning your trip, be sure to bring these things:
- flashlight & batteries (plus extras)
- sunscreen
- hat
- bug repellent and/or incense
- toiletries (Out of respect for Mother Earth, please bring only biodegradable soap,
shampoo or detergent.)
- towel
- extra pair of shoes to get wet, i.e. Tevas, Aquasocs.
- light pants & long sleeved shirt & socks (for bugs in evenings)
- band aids (cloth adhesive)
- first aid for cuts, bites & scrapes (We highly recommend Tee Tree oil and hydrogen
peroxide 3%, 35% or gel.)
- anti-itch remedy
These things might be nice to have, too.
- rain gear (seasonally)
- snorkeling gear
- rubber boots (standard issue for Ticos in the rainy season)
